Immigration Under Investment VISA Application
Your Funds Need to be Invested Under Very Specific Criteria Set By Immigration NZ
Where you are applying for a Permanent Residence Visa, Immigration New Zealand has various criteria that must be followed.
If you are applying for an Investor 1 or 2 Resident Visa you must invest your money in an acceptable investment.
The criteria around what is an acceptable investment that meets the Immigration NZ requirements is very specific. While the restriction to use only New Zealand funds does limit diversification, it should be noted that NZ has some of the highest interest rates in the world and the NZ share market has been one of the top performing markets in the last 5 years.
Applying for residence under the “Parent Retirement Category”, you must have investment funds of at least NZ$1 million, settlement funds of NZ$0.5 million and an annual income of NZ$60,000. The NZ$1 million needs to be invested for four years.
